Sunday’s Message: Turning water into wine (John 2:1-12NIV) – Join Pastor Pye This Sunday at 10:30 am
This Sunday, we’re delving deeper into our Lenten series by exploring the Gospel of John. Specifically, we’ll be reflecting on John 1:1-12 (NIV) and the profound narrative of turning water into wine.
In John 2:7, we witness Jesus instructing the servants to fill the jars with water, only to miraculously transform it into wine. This event marks one of the initial signs through which Jesus manifests his divine glory. Yet, beyond the miraculous, there’s a profound message: Jesus is intimately concerned with every aspect of our lives. His presence at the wedding feast underscores his desire for our well-being and fulfillment, always seeking the best for us.
Moreover, this transformation from water to wine is symbolic of Christ’s continuous work in our lives. Just as he turned water into wine, he can also transform the ordinary into the extraordinary, the mundane into the miraculous. He is ever-present, ready to intervene and bring about blessings, abundance, and joy. Thus, let us approach this Sunday’s reflection with hearts open to the profound depth of Jesus’ care and transformative power in our lives.
Join us this Sunday as we embark on this enriching journey together. May the love of the Lord embrace and bless you abundantly in the coming weeks.
