New Sermon Series: Becoming a People of Grace

Over the next month, Pastor Pye will lead us through a transformative study of the Book of Galatians.

In this powerful letter, the Apostle Paul addresses the churches in Galatia, who were being swayed by false teachings—specifically the idea that they must still adhere to ancient rituals like circumcision to be right with God. Paul’s message is a bold correction: we are no longer bound by the Law, but are a people called to live under the abundant grace of God through Jesus Christ.

SERMON FOR JAN 18 2026

This Sunday, we will be reading Galatians 1:11–24 (NIV). In this passage, we will study the profound change Jesus made in the life of the Apostle Paul. Paul once lived an intense life in Judaism, where he actively persecuted the church of God and tried to destroy it. He was advancing in Judaism beyond many of his peers and was extremely zealous for his ancestral traditions. However, by God’s grace, his life was completely transformed. As the scripture concludes: ‘The man who formerly persecuted us is now preaching the faith he once tried to destroy.
