We look forward to gathering together this week for a special Communion Sunday. As we prepare our hearts to share the Lord’s Supper, we will be reading from 1 John 5:1-12 focused on God’s Testimony.

Here is a preview of what we will be exploring together:

Loving God Means Walk in Obedience (Verses 1-5)

How do we know we truly love God and His children? The scripture shows us that the ultimate test of our love for God is our willingness to obey His commandments.

The Power of God’s Testimony (Verses 6-12)

God has given us a definitive testimony, and that testimony points directly to His Son, Jesus Christ. We will look closely at the three that bear witness:

• The Water: Pointing to Jesus’ baptism and the launch of His earthly ministry.
• The Blood: Pointing directly to the cross and His ultimate sacrifice for us.
• The Spirit: Revealing and confirming this truth in our hearts.

God makes a beautiful promise to us: He has given us eternal life, and this life is found in His Son.

New Teaching Series

In June 2026, we will end our Sunday series on 1 John. The Apostle John is getting on in years. He writes from Ephesus to a group of Christians. He shares with them how they should live their lives by obeying Jesus and God’s Word. God is light (1 John 1:5). God is love (1 John 4:16). We look for God’s light. We share God’s love.

After this we will look at the next 2 short Epistles of John (2 John and 3 John)
